Horror master Eli Roth teams up with Meta once again to bring immersive slasher to virtual reality just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Director Eli Roth is producing his second VR film for Meta. True to his favorite genre, he again delivers immersive horror material for Meta Quest 2 (review) and Quest Pro (review) with “Be Mine: A VR Valentine’s Slasher.”

Eli Roth’s Valentine’s Day VR Horror

For his first VR movie project for Meta, “Haunted House: Trick VR Treat”, Roth adopted a classic horror movie theme – Halloween. The 180 Degree film, starring Vanessa Hudgens, took viewers to a haunted house full of spooky cliches.

This time, Roth uses Lover’s Day as a motif. The thirty-minute VR film tells the story of Becca, a young woman stalked by an anonymous madman wearing a Cupid’s mask. She soon finds herself at the center of a spooky Valentine’s Day nightmare.

The VR slasher is streaming on Meta Quest TV and Horizon Worlds

Roth is producer and screenwriter this time around, leaving the director’s chair to Adam MacDonald. Peyton List (Cobra Kai), Inanna Sarkis (After We Collided) and Alanna Ubach (Euphoria) star.

“I had the most amazing experience doing Trick-VR-Treat with Meta, and we wanted to push the experience even further with BE MINEcreating a true narrative experience where you’re at the center of a slasher movie,” Roth told the Oculus blog.

There will also be a version for people without a VR headset, which can be streamed directly via Facebook and Instagram. You can find the first teaser on Facebook.
